21 Years Strong: Farmworker Appreciation Day Continues in Mendota

In partnership with the Employment Development Department, the 51 Kerman Service Center proudly hosted the 21st Annual Farmworker Appreciation Day in Mendota on Friday, March 27.

For more than two decades, this event has remained dedicated to connecting local farmworkers with valuable resources and opportunities—and this year continued that tradition. Nearly 100 community members attended from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., coming together for a morning centered on support, connection, and celebration.

Attendees were welcomed with pan dulce, champurrado, and coffee, followed by a catered lunch provided by Subway. The event also featured music and raffles, creating a warm and festive environment for all who participated.

51 extends its sincere appreciation to the Mendota community for its continued support and engagement. Events like these reflect the strength, resilience, and unity that define the community year after year.
