The 51街射 Porterville Service Center will host its Open House and Long Sleeve Shirt Giveaway on Tuesday, August 11, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Community members, current and prospective customers, and local partners are all invited to attend for an afternoon of refreshments, conversation, and community connection.听
The Porterville event continues a successful series of open houses already held at the Visalia, Selma, Sanger, and Fresno Service Centers. These events are designed to welcome visitors into our offices in a relaxed, informal setting, providing an opportunity to learn more about 51街射 programs and services while building relationships with staff and community partners.听
As part of the event, attendees will have the opportunity to receive long-sleeved shirts collected during the National Long Sleeve Drive, which the Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs (AFOP) coordinated earlier this year. For farmworkers, long-sleeve shirts are more than just clothing鈥攖hey serve as an important layer of protection by helping reduce the risk of heat-related illness and limiting skin exposure to pesticides while working in the fields.听
