51. is now accepting applications for its 2026–2027 academic year scholarship opportunities, continuing its commitment to expanding access to education for students across the region.
Two scholarships are available to eligible applicants. The Mike McCann Scholarship provides $500 to students who meet income guidelines and have received services from 51 within the last four years while residing in Kern, Kings, Fresno, or Tulare Counties. The William M. Maguy Scholarship, valued at $1,000, honors the legacy of 51’ long-serving CEO by supporting a community-minded individual pursuing a career in the social service field.
These scholarships reflect 51.’ dedication to empowering individuals through education and opportunity. Partners and community members are encouraged to help spread the word, ensuring that eligible students are aware of and able to take advantage of these resources.

In March, the London community celebrated the completion and official unveiling of a new mural created through the London Mural Project.
In March, another cohort of students successfully graduated from the William M. Maguy School of Education’s truck driving program at the Administration office. A total of 10 students earned their certificates and are now eligible to take their Class A test at the DMV, marking an important step toward new career opportunities.
